Hot Chocolate

On this rainy Saturday, all I can think about is a warm cup of hot chocolate.  Maybe if we all drink enough hot chocolate today, this rain will turn into snow.

Hot cocoa and snow goes together like peanut butter and jelly.  Nothing like coming in from the cold, snow stuck to your boots, your hair all wet, to find steaming mugs of hot cocoa with marshmallows waiting for you on the kitchen table.  One of my favorite childhood memories for sure :)  Back then,we always had the powdered kind out of a packet that you could find in any food store.  Now you search hot chocolate on Pinterest and there are flavors like coconut, peppermint, red velvet, Nutella, pumpkin spice, white chocolate...and the list goes on and on.    

I still love the hot chocolate mixes and since the kids are the only ones who drink regular milk in our house, I stick to hot chocolate with hot water added to it.  But if you are feeling adventurous, try out some of these recipes and let me know what you think!
