I had such a craving for these bars but wanted to healthify them. Is that even a word?! Oh well.
Here goes:
Brown Sugar Brownie Bars
Slightly adapted from Dear Crissy
1/2 C brown sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla extract
1 small banana, mashed
1/4 C melted butter, cooled a bit
Combine in large bowl.
1/2 t salt
1 t baking powder
1 1/3 C white whole wheat flour
3/4 C semi sweet chocolate chips
Combine in small bowl. Add to large bowl and stir to combine. Pour into 9x9 greased brownie pan and smooth with spatula. Bake 15-18 minutes at 350 degrees. Enjoy with a glass of milk :)
